Investor Program
Investors who wish to come to Canada, can do so under the special Immigrant Investor Program which is structured and guaranteed by the Government of Québec. This program is less restrictive and offers particular advantages to candidates and their families which would not otherwise qualify with other immigration programs due to factors such as age, education, experience, fluency in English and French, etc.

Your special immigration status
Under the Immigrant Investor program you may receive:
  • your Selection Certificate from the Province of Québec
  • an unconditional Canadian visa
Once your Canadian visa application is approved, you and your family will be entitled to:
  • permanent residence status upon entering Canada
  • the right to work and travel anywhere in Canada
  • the right to enter and leave Canada freely
  • the privilege of applying for full Canadian citizenship three years following your permanent landing in Canada.
Your qualifications
You qualify for the Program if you meet the following government eligibility requirements:
  • you have worldwide net assets of at least $ CAN. 800,000
  • you have a minimum of three years of managerial experience
  • you undertake, through a government accredited local financial institution to make a $ CAN400,000 investment (or less through our IMF Plan) in the Province of Québec for a five year term
Note: The assessment of your application to immigrate will take into account several other factors.

Your money is working to help develop Québec businesses and create jobs
Your mandatory deposit of $ CAN 400,000 is invested in a term note guaranteed by the Province of Québec. An important portion of the interest generated by your investment is given to eligible Québec corporations in the form of grants. Therefore, as an investor, you contribute to the society’s economic development and the creation of employment.

Your investment is fully secured
Because your investment is evidenced by a term note guaranteed by the Government of Québec, you know that at the end of the five- year term, 100% of your investment will be reimbursed.

The IMF Plan, a financing option specifically designed for you
The IMF Plan enables you to obtain a loan and offers you the possibility of limiting your down payment to as little as $ CAN. 120,000 and still meet all the requirements of the Immigrant Investor Program in order to obtain Canadian citizenship. The financial set-up of this loan is such that the reimbursement of your investment at maturity, by the Government of Québec, fully covers the principal and interest of the loan.

IMF is an independent firm that entertains privileged relationships with various local accredited financial institutions and as such is able to negotiate on your behalf for that loan and institution that offers you the very best terms. If you wish to opt for the IMF Plan and minimize your loan for the investor program, we will present you with various financial options from which you can choose the most advantageous one.

You are only required to make the minimum down payment, which may be of as little as $CAN. 120,000 depending on the prevailing Québec five year bond yield at the time of the disbursement, with a guaranteed maximum amount.

The monies that you are not required to transfer to complete the required deposit may be invested and earn higher returns than your investment with the Province of Québec or the cost of the loan, thereby improving your overall return.
